PRODUCTION
– MUSIC FOR DANCE, PUPPETRY, STORYTELLING, THEATRE, ANIMATION & FILM –
If you are seeking music for a stage performance, I can:
a) Compose, record and mix the music you need.
b) Play the music you need live.
c) A combination of (a) and (b) whereby I compose part of the music in the studio and trigger cues on stage and also play live. In this situation I can also provide and manage the sound on stage using world-class microphones and PA.
PRODUCTIONS
The 2018 production Inversion, with Yuko Harada (dance) and Ashley Lobo (choreography), supported by The Japan Foundation. Click to listen to two tracks – Seeking, Searching and The Voices in My Head.
In 2016–17, I produced the music for the puppet theatre performance Mahabharata and also composed a track for choreographer Ashley Lobo's performance Agni, called Dark One.
In 2015, I performed and/or produced the music for five performances – Fold to Unfold (Yuko Harada), Eleni of Sparta (Rajika Puri), Rah and Sarvatra:The Omnipresent (Vaswati Misra), and the puppet performance Pinocchio: The Wood Boy (Kuch Kuch Puppet Theatre).
Here you can listen to excerpts from:

PERFORMANCE
~ STAGE SHOWS WITH WORLD INSTRUMENTS AND WORLD-CLASS PA ~
–STORIES THROUGH SOUND
This is a riveting show featuring drums, percussion, and ambient, native and tribal instruments. Suchet's library of world percussion includes the didgeridoo (Australia), djembe (West Africa), darbouka (Egypt), bongos (Cuba), cajon (Spain), framedrums and many other instruments from around the world.
The show has two versions – acoustic and electronic.
In Acoustic music performances I create theme-based soundscapes and music based on the performance topic. Past shows include "Lost Traditions", "Yamuna", "The Secret Abode of Fireflies", etc.
In Electronic music performances I play ambient, lounge, latin, break & bossa, tribal & trance music from my computer while performing on acoustic instruments live. See a clip here.
In both shows I have full control over the quality of the audio – every show includes a state-of the-art mixer with live effects processing and microphones that I have especially chosen.
A PA system from Bose™, sleek all-black microphone stands & clamps and colour-coded cabling is also available, making this a complete show wherein you provide the electricity & stage space and I do the rest.

– PERCUSSION –
I conduct workshops for children and adults entitled Stories Through Sound using percussion as a medium.
Since 2008, these workshops have been featured in numerous schools & universities as well as corporate institutions. Some of these include – The Doon School Dehradun, The British School, The German School, One World College of Music, Jesus & Mary College, the Ardee Montessori School, the India Habitat Centre and the Aditya Birla Group.
To know more about the workshops, download the complete brochure from here. You can also contact me on [email protected].
---------------------------
I also conduct workshops on Arrangements and on Percussion.
The Arrangements workshop is suitable for musicians who wish to learn about what arrangements are, why are they needed, and how to make them. The workshop features substantial audio and video material.
---------------------------
The Percussion workshop is for anyone wishing to learn more about percussion. What is percussion, how are rhythms constructed, how to feel the pulse, frameworks for improvisation, these are some of the topics covered.
This workshop has been facilitated for contemporary dancers (Delhi Dance Union), students of MA (Dance) at Ambedkar University, students of the UNIMA Puppetry course and also for teachers at Music Basti. Variations on the basic theme, such as "Percussion Instruments of India" are also conducted (The German School).
LIVE SOUND
– COMPLETE SOUND SOLUTIONS FOR AUDIENCES UP TO 500 –
The almost invisible PA speaker you see in the picture above is a state-of-the-art system from Bose, world-renowned for its sound. It is especially suitable for acoustic performers owing to its sensitivity and inherent quietness. The system is also a monitor, meaning that it can be placed behind or beside the performer(s) so that they hear exactly what the audience hears.
The microphones I use include AKG, Audix, Line 6, Røde and Sennheiser. They are mounted on K&M microphone stands and LP clamps. The sound is fed into mixers from Allen & Heath, Alesis and Bose. A Roland Cube Street amplifier is available for guitarists, bassists and keyboardists.
The equipment I use is a carefully selected industry best. This high-quality approach to sound projection means that the music you hear is as realistic as possible, and amplified to just the right degree.
I have provided sound at the following auditoria in New Delhi – Kamani Auditorium, Sri Ram Centre, India Habitat Centre (both Stein Auditorium and the Amphitheatre), Epicentre and ML Bhartia Auditorium at the Alliance Française.
